Red Dirt Reining

MAY 09-14, 2023

The Red Dirt Reining at Lazy E has NOT been cancelled!

The recommendation of Oklahoma State Veterinarian Dr. Rod Hall was that horses that were at the NRBC isolate and not attend any shows until May 8 (21 days from last exposure) and our move in is scheduled for 5/9/2023.

As an additional precaution the Lazy E Arena is recommending that any horses coming to the show have a Rhino(EHV-1)+Flu Booster as an additional layer of protection.

The Lazy E’s Red Dirt Reining debuted in 2015. The National Reining Horse Association-approved event has grown over the years and now has more than $20,000 in added money. Supported by the Oklahoma, Missouri, Southwest Missouri, Kansas, and Southwest Affiliates, the reining is used as a qualifier the North American Affiliate Championship held annually alongside the NRHA Futurity. The event features a $13,000-Added Derby, 2 full slates of ancillary classes, 3 slates of rookie classes, and 2 slates of green and ride & slide classes. High point awards are offered in all ancillary and entry-level classes, and paid warm-ups are available prior to the first day of the show. The indoor competition arena is also available overnight for schooling.
